The PT-80 looks and feel like a real .380 semiauto pistol. The outside is mostly metal. I've read where other reviewers has problems with the CO2 leakage with their Gamo R-77's (4" revolver.) I bought a pack of CO2 "o"rings from the Gamo site, just incase. The first CO2 I put in loaded fine, then after the second shot leaked like it blew the seal. That was a waste. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, I load another CO2, this time everything is ok. I was really dissappointed with the waste of CO2 with this gun. I got like 5 speedloaders worth of good velocity (40 shots,) after that it start dropping off fast. It's stated that it has a 4.25" rifled steel barrel, but the accuracy is really bad. At 25' this gun shoots all over my 5.5x5.5" cone trap, and miss the trap once it starts losing velocity. It's not my shooting either (see "all my reviews".) The trigger pull is long and hard. It suppose to be able to shoot single or double action. Forget single action, it's still a long...

I have a PT 80 CO2 pistol purchased from Big 5 about 3 years ago. I am unable to use this pistol because the O-ring that fits on the gas outlet is torn/defective. This is the O-ring just before the gas enters the rotary clip to launch the pellet.

This is the only thing that is wrong with this gun.

Can you please send me a couple dozen of these O-rings? I ask for that number because these things break every time after firing the pistol about 150 times or less. I know that they break because I had this problem on all 3 of the PT 80 pistols that I got from Big 5. This is an excellent pistol, with the exception of this O-ring problem. I have not even had the opportunity to shoot this gun. I purchased one and I took it out of the container, dry fired it twice. I loaded the magazine (very easy) and I tilted the gun down to insert the magazine and the barrel fell out. After that the top part of the gun in the front separated from the bottom part so it swiveled on the back half. Gamo Support made me PAY to ship the broken gun back to them and then told me it will take 4-6 weeks for either a repair or replacement. The repair department acknowledged that they received it 8 days after the tracking number showed it arrived. Their customer service was nice but could only tell me that it was in the process. Stay away from Gamo guns. I wish there was another review detailing the horror of working with and waiting on Gamo before I purchased this. They need to hire more employees if they can't get returns fixed or worked out any faster!

Its Alright, but has issues such as: you have to pull the trigger ALL THE WAY back to shoot and you have to do it fast or else the bb will fall out the barrel.Another issue is this gun is vitally dependant on a little delicate spring inside the slide which works with the hammer to strike the C02 fo fire the gun. If this spring gets damaged the gun won't work properly and you can't replace the spring.Other than that i'm giving this 4 stars because this airgun is made of steel and looks realistic like a real 9mm pistol,the C02/loading device pops out the bottom like a magazine,and the top of the gun slides back before firing just like on real guns.Its a good air pistol and it works,just be advised though of those two problems this gun could have.

Shoots accurate, good solid design, blowback is awesome for realism. Great for cheap indoor/outdoor target practice (instead of going to range with firearm..) Gun still feels and reacts like a 22 pistol, without the sound.

CO2 life is what is to be expected. First 20 shots destroy. next 20 still ~400-450 fps. After 40, slowly ramps off. There is a noticeable difference in velocity when using the platinum pellets, but they don't seem to do as much impact damage. I recommend the gamo red fire pellets for that.

Great for practice, varmint control, whatever. Just remember this is not a toy, it is to be treated like a firearm.

If you're between this gun and another, stick with gamo. Either go with the pt-85 (same gun really..), or this one.

this is a nice co2 powered air pistol that can be mistaken for a real one. the picture does not show it, but it does come with tactical light that is blindingly bright. my only grieviance is that it is powered by a hard to find lithium battery and the bulb is not an efficient led variety. i have ordered a replacement tactical light that is powered by the common aa and is of the cree led variety. the "silencer" is actually an extended barrel to boost the fps of the pellets. you can remove it and the inside barrel (which already started to rust, so oil it!!) but it will leave the thread on the outside of the muzzle, so it's best to leave the "silencer" on. besides, it's a co2 pellet gun, how much noise can it make? Some of the hex screws were loose, not finger loose, but loose enough that i had a turn or so with the included hex drivers. though, the rail is hard plastic, not metal, so do not over tighten or you might break the rails. it's not something you want to toss around, i've...

They beat out the rifleings,making the accuracy iffy over time.As for the stiff double action trigger pull, Big Deal! It will make you a more patient, and better shot in the long run! Take your time, dont forget to breath! And squeeze, dont jerk!

A rifled steel barrel and textured grip are also features of this new air pistol that is capable of up to 450fps with Gamo's PBA Platinum Pellets.Equipped with an innovative Blowback feature, the PT-85 CO2-powered air pistol delivers a realistic action and an authentic look and feel when shooting.
