I did have some issues after reviewing a few of the previous reviews prior to buying the unit. After making use of the unit now for some time I can say I've had no concerns and the unit has actually performed exquisite. We simply bought this Gamo Big Cat with Nitro Piston air rifle, using the discount and the free of cost shipping. Made it the best rate on the internet when we bought it first of this month.

After a thorough break in, I've grown very happy with this rifle. I opted for the Nitro Piston version -- a feature I highly recommend after owning two other (non-Gamo) springers. In addition to the benefits of the Nitro Piston (particularly that it can maintain cocked pressure for long periods of time, apparently without ill effects like a spring), I just like the feel of this system more than springs. I realize that's very subjective on my part, but it just feels a lot more solid and smooth. It's got a modest amount of recoil, but nothing at all unreasonable. It is fairly loud; I was hoping for something a tad bit more quiet than my older springer, but I can't really tell a difference.
I've been very happy with the accuracy after an initial break in and then getting everything dialed in. I haven't taken it to a range or bench rested it, but I'm getting ~ quarter sized groups of 5 rounds at 20 meters, which is more than enough accuracy for me. (Incidentally, I'm using...
