Well, after doing a great deal of research and reading the reviews below and in other places, I chose to purchase GAMO Extreme 88-Gram CO2 Replacement Cartridge For Air Rifle, 2-Pack. Though I 'd have preferred a better warranty, I decided the attributes were attractive enough to attempt it. It is a great deal of money to discard if it falls short simply after the warranty. I am completely in love with this product. It is high quality item, smart functions. I just got it today, and I will upgrade my review later if required.
Poor quality - possibly refilled and not new?
I ordered these (overpriced) Gamo Extreme 88g CO2 cartridges and was very disappointed in what I received. They look used. One of the cylinders has what appears to be a glob of paint on the threads preventing me from screwing it into the air gun. I tried removing the glob using water, soap and water, and denatured alcohol. Nothing works. Soap and water however, removed the black paint that had been applied to the threads, making me think that these had been refilled and dipped in paint to make them look new. The threads on this same cylinder had also been banged up a bit, so I doubt it would have made a good seal, even if I could have loaded it into the air rifle. Both cylinders have so much sticky paint or what feels like Cosmoline on them that there is no way I would insert them into the air handling system of any air gun - they would be sure to leave debris behind.
The overall condition of both of these cylinders looks like have been used before, and the box they came in...
