Well, after doing a lot of research and checking out the testimonials right here and in other places, I decided to purchase Gamo Recon Whisper Combo Air Rifle air rifle. Though I 'd have chosen a much better guarantee, I decided the attributes were attractive enough to try it. It is a bunch of cash to toss away if it falls short simply after the warranty. I am completely in love with this product. It is high quality item, smart attributes. I simply got it today, and I will update my review later on if needed.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIFLE
This product is defectively designed. There is no getting around it. I really wanted to like this rifle. It is compact for a preteen with a thumb hole for small hands. The break barrel charging is light enough for a small built youngster.
The problem is that the reciever is cut wrong so that it will not allow permanent fixing of the scope. No matter how tight you tighten the scope mounts the scope slides back after repetative firing. I even tried another scope with the same results. Also, the end cap on the back of the barrel would usually act as the last line scope stop to prevent the scope from sliding off the back end of the barrel. Not on this gun. The end cap is made of flimsy thin plastic so the scope continued to slide through it, actually knocking the thin plastic end cap off with the back scope mount hanging off the back end of the barrel.

Most Underlined Buyer Review : Thinking about returning it...
If you're reading this, please consider staying away from this model. I would like to point out that GAMO, after repeated customer complaints is yet to change the rail on this air-rifle. The scope ALWAYS slides to the back of the rail, no matter how hard you tighten it. This is a true pain, especially for bigger guys which makes it extremely hard and uncomfortable to shoot. I have found the accuracy of this air rifle to be problematic as well. This may be caused from the rail as well. Everytime I zero my sights (Which takes longer with the stock scope that I ever imagined) I have to re-adjust after every shot. I went through about 100 rounds and it's still not as accurate as I would want by a matter of 1 inch to up to 2 inches... I am having serious thoughts about returning it or upgrading it for something different. I will attempt to switch the scope out, maybe that will fix it...
