Pitiful Performance!
The "Whisper" aspect of this pellet rifle is a PR joke. It's loud and annoying. I thought I would purchase this rifle to replace my 18 yr-old RWS .177 Mod 48, as it is supposed to have a 1200fps power "punch". I set up two PVC 3" sections of pipe at 25 yds to test both my RWS and the Gamo's hit power. My RWS easily penetrated the PVC pipe, while the Gamo's pellet deflected off. If it truly had 1200 fps power, it should have penetrated the PVC pipe also. Several "repeats" had the same result. I then tried to discourage a pesky squirrel which raids my bird feeder daily - at 15-yd's, the pellet bounced off, although the squirrel was discouraged.
This pellet rifle is OK for a beginner/paper targets. However, if you really want a pellet rifle for varmint control, this is not what you want.
