Made it the very best cost on the internet when we bought it initially of this month. after doing a bunch of research and reading the reviews somewhere else. I received this product about days back and am really delighted with the item, Up until now so excellent. I am completely in love with this GAMO Flat Nose .177 Caliber Match Pellets (Tin of 500), It is a high quality item and having wise functions.
Pretty good pellets.
Bottom line first: These are good pellets that I would buy again.
The Amazon item description says these weigh 7.71 grains, but the tin I got says 7.56 grains. I weighed them with a reloading scale, and they actually are around 7.8 grains.
Since I had the scale out, I weighed some pellets individually. My results were:
7.5 grains: 1
7.6 grains: 8
7.7 grains: 42
7.8 grains: 94
7.9 grains: 53
8.0 grains: 7
8.1 grains: 1
I was a little disappointed with this spread of weights. I expected better from "Match" quality ammo. I weighed two other brands of ordinary pellets, and they varied about the same amount. For comparison I weighed a dozen .30 caliber Sierra MatchKing 168 grain rifle bullets. They deviated less than the pellets, which for the bullet's heavier weight is a much smaller percentage variation.
I did small, unscientific test. I put up a target, and fired two seven-shot goups at 50 feet...
